Weymouth Old Town Hall 13th September, Celebration of gaining the lease!

As one of the Guardians of the Old Town Hall (yes a GOTH :) ) I would like to let all members and visitors know that there will be a Celebration of the gaining of the lease of the Old Town Hall, to be held on:

Sunday 13th September 2009 from 11am to 6pm

Some of things visitors can enjoy are:

Display of local history of the area and signing of the book "Weymouth Through Time" from which a donation is made to the OTH for each copy sold.

Re-enactment by Pike and Shot Tour and Event Company (PASTE)

Art displays

Photographic displays

Music

Refreshments

Information about the Chapelhay Community Partnership and of course information about the Old Town Hall project to renovate and restore the building for it to be used as a Heritage Centre on one floor and an Arts Centre on the other.

There will be a lot more besides the above....that was just to whet your appetite, so do come along and see what it's all about.

Location: Old Town Hall, High Street, Weymouth - opposite the Boot Inn down the end of High West Street and diagonally behind the council offices on North Quay.

Nearest car park is the council offices car park which is open to anyone at weekends, pay and display.
