Has anyone died?. Having recently found this forum, I pop in several times each day in the hope that it will be a hive of posts which maybe I can contribute to.
Yes the sun may be shining and yes, it's summer, but so it is elsewhere and they manage to pen a few lines. Would anyone care to make this a daily stop-over and contribute? |

Sometimes the sound of silence is better than the sound of a riot, hehe. Personally, I think a lot of the reason why there tends to be a lack of posts made is that there are now several social networking sites where people interact with their friends rather than getting involved in discussions about such things as history and the like.
Lack of time unfortunately prevents me from spending as much time on these forums as I used to, but that lack of time is due to time being constructively used elsewhere, such as in researching and writing books, being involved in local projects and things. Many of these local projects bring communities together for the common good, to preserve our heritage, improve our environment etc. That is a good thing, but of course, it all takes time. |

OK then, so the administrator now finds, after launching the site, that time is not so freely available, that's fine and understandable. By other social networking sites, the likes of twitter/facebook come to mind, sorry but they're not for me. Not enough substance. If on the other hand there are forums/social networking sites in and around Weymouth then maybe I could be pointed in the right direction.
