Anywhere that seems like a good idea

You may already have heard of the voting for the New 7 Wonders of the World and there is a website where you can view and vote:

http://www.new7wonders.com/index.php

The Dolmen Band which was mentioned elsewhere by Midnighter, have had the honour of being chosen for their song to be the official song of the New 7 Wonders of the World, and you can listen to it by choosing the link on the left of the above page where it has Latest Updates.

Personally, I think the song is great, but then, to me, anyone who can sing remotely like Bryan Adams, is worth listening to :)

Taloch could sing Bryan Adams into the weeds .......... and guitar him into them too. ;)

But yeah, well done to The Dolmen, a local asset that has remained hidden for far too long.

This is no ordinary band, The Dolmen produce excellent, addictive sound.. They are the group who beat off competition from around the globe to have their song selected as the official theme tune for the New Seven Wonders of the Word Competition. A local band from Weymouth, they have brought the media spotlight to the music scene of this area with their win. This is your chance to see how good they are for yourself. There is no charge fee, just come along the Weld Arms on Sunday 6th May at 8pm, step up to the bar for some refreshment and pop into the beer garden for some serious entertainment. The pub is open as usual for fine ales and an excellent food. Enjoy.

And they've just dragged an unexploded German bomb out of the beer garden where the gig was held. :scared:

Shame Stonehenge didn't make it to be one of the New 7 Wonders. Still love the official song though :)

Freedom is calling, off to pastures new ;)

No, it didn't make it. Testament to the apathy inherrant in the British people when their own history and heritage is at stake.

We've been conditioned by the government and the media to despise our own identity.
