Anywhere that seems like a good idea

My eldest son has just returned home from work and informs me that it is snowing up on Ridgeway. For the first time ever, he has experienced snow while driving and now understands what I meant about it - like driving through space he says!

Poor lad had to slow down and a good job too as he had my car!

We faced a blizzard returning to Warwickshire from Weymouth last night - but that was near Newbury.

I saw the burnt-out garage in Southill for myself at the weekend. Looks absolutely dreadful!

Lovely to see the Victorian shelters being restored on the Esplanade.

I looked out of the window before I went to bed last night and we had snow here too. There was quite a bit on the cars and it had settled on the grass too. It was still there first thing this morning but by about 8.30am the sun had melted it all away :(

Yes, it looks worse than can be described and more so if viewed from the bottom end of that hill as then you see next door''s house too. I have more news on it, but can''t put it here as it is not publicly available yet. I will email you with it.

Oh yes, those shelters will look really good once they''re all finished :)

And nice to see the council adopt a policy of including the local populace with Weymouth College students having an area to show off their work.

It looked to me as if they were trying to save as much of the original woodwork as possible.

There were/are some strange flat seats at the ends, almost looking like fold-out setas - were they for ladies with crinolines?
