Anywhere that seems like a good idea

As an addition to this website we now have Weymouth Life, a blog type of thing where the topics of conversation will be as it says. These can be news topics or anything else to do with life in Weymouth. You can post a comment to a topic already started just by clicking on the 'comments' link beneath the previous post, next to where it says: Posted by.

At the moment, there is only one author....me! I would love to have some more authors to start topics, so if anyone is interested in being an author, please let me know.

Weymouth Life

Historical and family things are still for the forums.

To add to the above for those who want to know, Weymouth Life is hosted on this website but uses Blogger which is part of Google. Dear old Google was on to it indexing it within a few hours of it going live :)

You may also be interested to learn that I ran some searches to see where this website was placed on the top search engines for the search terms of: Weymouth Dorset

and the results were:

Google (worldwide) put this website at number 1 out of 1,140,000
Google (UK) number 1 out of 885,000
Yahoo (worldwide) number 1 out of 1,760,000
MSN (worldwide) number 1 out of 384,330
All the Web (worldwide) number 1 out of 1,710,000
AltaVista (worldwide) number 1 out of 1,760,000
AOL (worldwide) number 1 out of 80,200
Alexa (worldwide) number 1 out of 304,000

:woo:

and then I got bored :)

Of course, having the website address as www.weymouth-dorset.co.uk helps enormously as the search terms are within it and get highlighted as such.
