Southill Preservation Society Launch 13th June

The launch of the Society is to take place at the Community Centre, Radipole Lane, Southill, Weymouth, on Saturday 13th June 2009 at 3pm.

There is to be a display of local history, a display of artwork, refreshments, raffle including prizes of a meal for two at the John Gregory, bottles of wine and more, an information desk etc. A supervised play area for the children is being provided by Kids R Uz pre-school. Local author Debby Rose will be signing copies of her book Weymouth Through Time with a donation being made to the Society for every copy sold. Copies of the book are also available through this website.

At the event, you have the opportunity to express your views on such things as the poor bus service to Southill and Radipole village, losing the community land, litter, traffic in Radipole Lane and many other things that affect residents. Your views are also sought regarding what you would like to see done to improve Southill and what community events you would like to have.
